THE HISTORY OF HELLO KITTY :)

1.HELLO KITTY  is a fictional  character (watak) produced by the Japanese company, SANRIO.It  first designed by Yuko Shimizu .

2.In 1962 Shintaro Tsuji (founder of SANRIO)  began selling rubbersandals with flower painted on them.Tsuji  noted the profits gained by adding  a cute design to the sandals and hired cartoonists to design a cute character which is Hello Kitty for his merchandise.

3. HELLO  KITTY  is potrayed as a female white Japanese bobtail cat with a red bow.

4. The character’s first appearance on an item, a  vinyl coin purse was introduced in Japan in 1974 and brought to the United States in 1976.

5. Hello Kitty  does not have a mouth   because they want people to project their feelings onto the character  and be happy a or sad together with Hello Kitty  .
6.Products of Hello Kitty originally aimed at preadolescent females and market has broaderned to include adult consumers.She can be found on a variety pf products ranging from school supplies to fashion accessories and high-end consumer products.

7.Hello Kitty sold well immediately  after the 1974 launch and Sanrio’s sales increased seven times up until 1978 when they slumped temporarily.
8.       According to Sanrio, in 1999 Hello Kitty appeared on 12 000 different products yearly.
9.       At age 36 as of 2010, Sanrio’s has groomed Hello Kitty into global marketingphernomenon worth $ 5 billion a year.

10.   There is a themed restaurant named Hello Kitty  Sweets in Taipei , Taiwan. The restaurant’s décor and many of its dishes are patterned as Hello Kitty  character .
